“A theatre, a literature, an artistic expression that does not speak for its own time has no relevance.”
About Us
ACTION Hub
ACTION Hub is an incubation space for talented yet disadvantaged youth and women with insatiable appetite for disruption to connect, ideate and co-create critical audio-visual content that challenges repressive and unjustified societal norms. Strategically located in Highfield, the second oldest township in Harare with a rich cultural and political background, ACTION Hub is easily accessible to its intended beneficiaries who resides in the low-income communities of Harare. Since its inception in 2018, the Hub has mentored a number of diverse creative makers into independent community creatives leveraging on their creative latent to stimulate dialogue and action for community good. ACTION Hub provides a fit-for-purpose platform for artists to stimulate their creative impulse and produce independent socially-conscious work in form of theatre, music, poetry and dance that is packaged for online distribution. As part of the mentorship program, creatives have access to Theatre paBridge (a degenerating foot-bridge which was regenerated by EDZAI ISU Trust into a community arts space) to showcase their artistic and cultural skills to the public, in the process proffering alternative view-points that challenges and examines the hegemonic forces in society.
